Job Description

Primary Purpose
* Assists in the maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of equipment in the Merchandise department.
* Enthusiastically represents SeaWorld by displaying a positive attitude, high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
* Ensures that all equipment is in good working condition throughout the park by performing necessary repairs and upkeep.
* Verifies equipment is ready for use prior to opening.
* Works with leadership to improve current operating procedures and create new standard operating procedures as warranted.
* Use of various chemicals for the purpose of cleaning equipment throughout the department.
* Ensures excellent customer service by responding to customer’s requirements, expectations, and needs.
* Maintains inventory records.
* Notifies the leadership team when parts and supplies need to be ordered.
* Works with Automotive to have red tagged rental items repaired within a timely manner.
* Maintains a safe work environment and upholds all safety requirements.
* Reports any hazards or potential hazards to prevent possible accidents.
* Occasionally assists other location in park
* Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills, Knowledge, Education and Training
* Must be at least 18 years of age.
* High school diploma or GED required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Must have and maintain a valid California driver’s license; visiting students and military must have valid driver’s license from state of residency and able to provide a copy of the DMV report and must be able to complete the Company Vehicle Driver Training class and obtain a SWC driver’s license.
* Must have previous experience troubleshooting computer hardware and software related issues.
* Must be able to positively interact with guests and co-workers of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds and/or language, and individuals with special needs.
* Must be outgoing, able to provide excellent guest service and interact favorably with the public.
* Must have the ability to self-motivate and work in a fast-paced environment.
* Must have intermediate knowledge of computers and the ability to work with Windows-based software.
* Must have a clear understanding of Microsoft Office applications
* Must have advanced knowledge of computer networking
* Must have intermediate knowledge of digital cameras and camera care
* Must have basic electronic troubleshooting and soldering skills.
* Must have proficient math skills; must be able to computer rate, ratio, and percent; must be able to create and interpret graphs
* Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
* Must be able to work independently and troubleshoot issues.
* Must be able to work in group settings
* Must be able to work in high elevations up to 90 feet
* Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift/move up to 100 lbs.
* Must have strong written/verbal communication skills.
* Must have the ability to read and interpret electrical/electronic schematics.
* Must be able to handle multiple tasks in fast-paced work environment.
* Must be able to stand, sit and/or walk for prolonged periods of time.
* Must be able to occasionally climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
* Must have knowledge of use of various hand tools including but not limited to multi-meters, drills, and soldering iron.
* Must maintain a safe working environment and adhere to SeaWorld’s safety regulations.
* Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two year college or technical school preferred.
* Experience with redemption games, multiplayer race games, and change machines preferred.
* Previous experience with Local Area Networking preferred.
* Previous experience maintaining/repairing stroller/wheelchairs or equivalent items preferred. 2 or more years of electronic systems experience and/or training with Midway games, photo equipment, and mechanical devices preferred.
