Job Description

Basic Job Functions
* Serve as a highly organized team member of Travel Industry Sales.
* Responsible for analyzing assigned markets, making strategic recommendation and implementing business development plans.
* Responsible for selling and promoting SeaWorld San Diego and Aquatica San Diego via applicable sales channels, as well as developing and executing new sales programs and marketing initiatives with existing and new clients.
* Key Account Executive for assigned regional, International accounts and cultural marketing efforts.
* Enthusiastically represent SeaWorld by displaying a positive attitude, high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job.

Principle Duties
* Account Executive - Includes International markets as assigned.
* Responsible for integration of in-language where appropriate and advantageous.
* Responsible for Asia Geo-Marketing efforts.
* Responsible for oversight of LA Receptive Operators for assigned markets.
* Contact with Company International Offices and Corporate office.
* Leads domestic multicultural efforts to increase awareness in niche markets/local/drive-by tourist markets.
* Generate sales for events from account base.
* Active account base, responsible for day to day efforts to maximize ticket sales and brand exposure through international resellers, international On-line Travel Agencies (OTA) and receptive operators.
* Implements business plans, promotional opportunities, and negotiations of Travel Industry Sales clients and SeaWorld California (SWC) ticket products.
* Professional representation at business functions.
* Develops and implements effective and ongoing sales calls and sales blitz scheduled to top producing clients for SWC.
* Increases market awareness and development.
* Stays abreast of market and industry trends and changes.
* Research/Analysis/ROI /marketing plan development for assigned markets.
* Responsible for all Travel Industry sales collateral development through the Brand team.
* Responsible for sales channel advertising.
* Responsible for sales channel "earned" exposure through key accounts.
* Responsible for sales channel Training & Implementation - EZ Ticket integration and training.
* Trains clients on SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment (SEA) Travel Agent website.
* Responsible for sales operations as needed.
* Ensures reservation staff is well versed in all aspects of San Diego Park offerings by conducting quarterly trainings and Familiarization Tour of the park (FAMs).

Qualifications for Position
* Must be available to travel as required.
* Must have at least three years of travel industry sales, marketing, and hospitality experience.
* Must have a bachelor’s degree in marketing, industry sales or related business field, and/or combined equivalent of education and experience.
* Must have previous Sales training.
* Foreign language skills preferred (Spanish and/or Chinese).
* Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Outlook).
* Must have experience managing and closing complex sales-cycles.
* Must have project management skills and understanding how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment and focus on the delivery of results in the form of sales and leads.
* Must have a marketing strategy background along with proven inside and outside sales experience.
* Must be able to prepare and update a sales action plan indicating all future efforts, goals and objectives.
* Must have excellent communication skills (written and oral), with the ability to convey important ideas and concepts to senior management, top executives from key accounts, and hospitality industry leadership in group settings and able to adapt communication style to a number of different audiences.
* Must have the ability to manage and prioritize multiple complex projects to completions while seizing emerging opportunities.
* Must have the ability to work with various departments and within varying organizational structures to achieve common goals.
* Must have the ability to multi-task and meet stringent deadlines.
* Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, team selling environment.
* Must be an enthusiastic, confident performer and team player with the ability and passion to work in a demanding environment.

* Must be available to work Monday - Friday and occasional weekends.
